About Gregory Bendau

I’m Gregory Bendau, a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #124339), offering psychodynamic therapy to adults across California via telehealth. I practice under the supervision of Dr. Jill Lummus, Psy.D. (PSY17224).

Education & Training

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University before moving to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue graduate training at Pepperdine University, where I completed my master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

For nearly six years, I’ve provided long-term, depth-oriented therapy to individuals and couples. My clinical experience includes work at community mental health clinics such as Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) and Pepperdine’s Irvine Community Counseling Center, where I focused on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. I’ve also received advanced training and supervision in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT).

Currently, I’m completing my post-doctoral internship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA), a training clinic dedicated to psychoanalytic psychotherapy and making long-term therapy accessible to the community.
