About Gregory Bendau

I am Dr. Gregory Bendau, a Registered Psychological Associate (RPA 94029140) and Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT 124339), offering psychodynamic therapy to adults across California via telehealth. I practice under the supervision of Dr. Jill Lummus, PsyD (PSY17224).

Education & Training

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University before moving to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue graduate training at Pepperdine University. At Pepperdine, I completed both my MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and my PsyD in Clinical Psychology.

Since 2019, I have provided long-term, depth-oriented therapy to individuals and couples. My clinical experience includes work at community mental health clinics such as Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) and Pepperdine’s Irvine Community Counseling Center, where I focused on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. I have also received advanced training and supervision in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT).

Currently, I’m completing my postdoctoral fellowship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA), a community mental health clinic dedicated to training clinicians in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and widening accessibility to long-term psychotherapy.
