About Gregory Bendau
I’m Gregory Bendau, an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #124339) providing affordable psychodynamic therapy to adults throughout California via telehealth. I practice under the licensed supervision of Jill Lummus, Psy.D. (PSY17224).
Education and Professional Background
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue graduate training at Pepperdine University, where I completed a master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My clinical experience includes nearly six years of providing long-term, depth-oriented therapy to individual adults. I’ve trained at community mental health clinics including Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) and Pepperdine’s Irvine Community Counseling Center, with a consistent focus on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. I have also obtained advanced training and supervision in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT).
Currently, I’m completing my pre-doctoral internship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA), a training clinic dedicated to training pre-licensed clinicians in psychoanalytic psychotherapy as well as providing low-fee, long-term psychoanalytic therapy to the West Los Angeles community.
If you’re thinking about starting therapy but you're not totally sure yet, I invite you to reach out. Send me a message and share what’s been on your mind. We can go from there.
